Prepare the water
solution: In 1 quart of clean water put 6 to 8 drops of liquid dish soap. Soap
will make it easier to move the decal and to get the air bubbles out. |
Clean the surface where
the decal will be applied. If there is any wax or oil on the surface,
use rubbing alcohol. This will remove any wax, oil or dust particles
that may prevent the decal from sticking. After wiping the area with
alcohol, it is best to wipe the surface with a cloth dampened with
clean water. |
Turn the decal facing down
on a flat surface (table) and carefully remove the paper backing. |
Spray the water solution
generously to both the back of the sticker (the glue) and the area that
it is going to be applied to. |
Put your decal in the
area that you want it. The water solution will let you move it to the
final position. |
Hold the decal in
position and use the edge of a card to rub decal from the center out
gently at first to avoid moving the decal from its final position and
then firmly to get the water out. Be sure to run the card several time
across the decal and make sure there are no bubbles left out. Wait
a couple of hours to let it dry very well. |
Remove the application
tape by pulling gently in a downward movement. If part of decal starts
to come up, rub it back down while the tape is still on and proceed to
remove the tape. If you get an air bubble in the decal, leave the bubble
alone it will go away with in a few weeks. |
